A developer has secured planning approval to establish “a vibrant leisure hub” in the city centre, which will be anchored by a new sports bar featuring 12 bowling lanes. Wolverhampton City Council stated that this endorsement will enable Catella APAM to undertake approximately £500,000 in work across multiple units within the Mander shopping centre. Superbowl UK has committed to a 15-year lease for the location, which is planned to include interactive darts and a soft play area, and is anticipated to create 30 jobs. The authority also noted that the development is scheduled to commence operations in early 2025, with the aim of “bringing an empty retail space back to life”. Councillor Chris Burden, who serves as the cabinet member for city development, jobs and skills, commented, “This is exactly the type of new development our extensive works on Victoria Street were designed to attract and it will be great to see works starting on site soon now that planning approval has been granted.” Post navigation Firefighters Respond to Blaze at Former Southport Health Facility Fort Regent Redevelopment Plans Expected Early 2025
