A new immersive audio play, developed for train passengers, aims to engage children with the Gloucestershire countryside. This initiative, named The Story Express, is a collaboration between Aurora Theatre and the Gloucestershire Community Rail Partnership (GCRP). The project allows families to access a story via an application, specifically tailored to the train journey connecting Cam & Dursley and Ashchurch-for-Tewkesbury. Lucy Cassidy, Aurora’s artistic director, commented on the ease of participation, stating: “It’s easy to take part in just hop on board, gaze out of the window, and enjoy stories and music that bring the world outside the train to life.” She further explained that “The Story Express is designed to enhance train journeys into a world of wonder and imagination, bringing the landscapes you see from the window to life as you travel.” GCRP commissioned this project, which received funding from CrossCountry Trains. Local young people also had the chance to contribute to its development. To participate in the experience, families can download the free application echoes.xyz and access the audio play on their mobile phones. Hannah McDonnell, executive director of GCRP, remarked: “The Story Express is a shining example of what can happen when we collaborate and unleash the creativity of our young people. “We’re so proud to offer an experience that’s not just fun, but also helps people connect with their community and local train stations, and encourages them to think about greener ways to travel.”” Post navigation New Operator Secured for Derbyshire County Bus Services Wisley Lane Bridge Over A3 Now Open to Traffic
