Guernsey’s Sixth Form Centre has affirmed its dedication to cultivating a “caring, inclusive and supportive environment” as it published its prospectus for the 2025 academic year. The publication details an extensive selection of 49 subjects available for study, encompassing both A-levels and the International Baccalaureate. Furthermore, it outlines the centre’s core objectives, guiding principles, and assistance for university applications. The centre reported that preparations for its relocation to a new site at La Mare de Carteret, scheduled for September 2025, are making significant headway. The new premises are undergoing renovation to incorporate dedicated independent learning zones and a lecture hall. Principal Kieran James stated: “As a team we are excited by the opportunities the development of the new, standalone Sixth Form Centre, and the preparations to move to La Mare de Carteret, have presented. We plan to seize these opportunities with both hands to ensure that we develop a distinct academic post-16 centre fit for the whole Bailiwick.” The recently issued prospectus can be accessed via the centre’s official website.
