A 19-year-old man died following a collision that occurred on the outskirts of Inverurie in Aberdeenshire. The incident took place approximately 15:20 on Saturday on the B9001 road, just outside the town. A grey Citroen C2 and a white Range Rover Sport were involved in the crash. The driver of the Citroen was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 20-year-old female passenger from the Citroen, along with the 60-year-old female driver and 64-year-old male passenger of the Range Rover, were transported to hospital. All three individuals are reported to be in stable condition. The road was closed for approximately 10 hours to facilitate a comprehensive crash investigation. It was subsequently reopened around 01:00 on Sunday. Sgt Alexander Bowser-Riley appealed for any witnesses to come forward. “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and those involved in the incident. We will continue to support them throughout the investigation,” he stated.
