A section of the M1 motorway has been closed following a collision involving an overturned lorry. The northbound carriageway of the M1 was shut between junction 16 (Weedon Bec) and junction 18 (Crick) in Northamptonshire around 07:15 GMT. National Highways stated that the road closure was necessary “to facilitate the complex recovery of the lorry,” noting that additional repairs to the nearside barrier were also required. A diversion route has been implemented, and motorists are being advised to follow the triangle symbol.
