According to Essex Police, the incident occurred in High Garrett, close to Braintree, shortly after 19:50 GMT on Wednesday. The road was subsequently closed to allow officers to conduct their investigation, as the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Detective Inspector Mark Fraser stated: “I want to express my condolences to the family of the man who has died at this unimaginably painful time.” Authorities appealed to anyone possessing dashcam footage of the event to contact them.
