Justin Thomas, who has yet to win the Hero World Challenge, currently holds the top position after the third round. The leaderboard standings are as follows: -17 J Thomas (US); -16 S Scheffler (US); -15 T Kim (Kor); -13 K Bradley (US); -12 S Theegala (US), A Bhatia (US); -9 R MacIntyre (Sco). Justin Thomas secured a one-stroke advantage over Scottie Scheffler heading into Sunday’s concluding round of the Hero World Challenge, following his bogey-free performance of a six-under 66. World number one Scheffler recorded a 69 at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas, reaching 16 under par, despite missing a birdie putt on the 18th hole. South Korea’s Tom Kim ascended seven positions to third place, achieving a 10-under-par 62. Kim had been 11 under for his round through 16 holes, but a double-bogey five on the par-three 17th extinguished his prospects of matching the course record of 61. Nevertheless, he concluded his round with an improbable birdie by holing a bunker shot on the final hole, placing him two strokes behind Thomas at 15 under. US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley maintained his strong performance, carding a bogey-free 68, which positioned him four shots behind the leader at 13 under. Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre experienced an inconsistent finish over his last six holes, combining four birdies with two bogeys, ultimately posting a 68 to conclude at nine under. England’s Aaron Rai finished with a 72, remaining at two under par, and is tied for 14th among the 20 competitors.
