Joey Martin holds the record as the all-time leading scorer among imports in the Elite League’s history. The Cardiff Devils, current leaders of the Elite League, experienced their fourth loss of the season, falling 4-3 in an overtime match against the Belfast Giants. The Giants, whose travel arrangements had been altered because of Storm Darragh, established a 2-0 lead by the conclusion of the first period, with goals scored by Josh Roach and Zak Galambos. In the second period, Joey Martin narrowed the deficit with a goal, but Cameron Pound subsequently re-established the visiting team’s two-goal advantage. Kohen Olischefski’s two goals leveled the score, sending the game into overtime, where Pierre-Olivier Morons ultimately clinched the win for the Giants. The Devils are scheduled to play their next Elite League game away against the Nottingham Panthers on Sunday, December 8.
