Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stated that the club does not require a “reset,” even after securing only one point from their last three Premier League fixtures. This recent performance includes a defeat by Newcastle United last weekend, a draw against Liverpool, and an earlier loss to Bournemouth. Consequently, the club now trails league leaders Liverpool by seven points. Furthermore, a 1-0 loss to Inter Milan on Wednesday places them 12th in the 36-team Champions League standings. Arteta commented, “I don’t think about [needing a reset],” adding, “Nobody works harder than me, I guarantee you that. “We don’t need a reset. In one particular aspect we need to go from 95 [effort] to 100. I will not tell you what that is.”” Arsenal is scheduled to face London rivals Chelsea in a Premier League match on Sunday. Martin Odegaard, who made his return from injury during Wednesday’s defeat at the San Siro, is confirmed to be part of the squad for the upcoming game against the Blues. Conversely, Declan Rice, having missed the game in Italy, is still considered a doubt. Arteta stated, “I have to be very vague on [Rice] because there is no clarity on if he is going to be fit or not for the weekend.” He further explained, “He hasn’t trained yet and it is not clear yet whether he is going to be available.” Arteta also mentioned that while Odegaard is available, a final decision regarding his fitness to start has not yet been reached.
