A man has been apprehended on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision in Leicestershire. Officers were dispatched to Wood Street in Earl Shilton, near Hinckley, at approximately 01:30 GMT on Thursday. The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service also responded to the scene due to the vehicle catching fire. Leicestershire Police stated that the 23-year-old driver was the only individual inside the car at the time. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
