Aston Villa’s midfielder, Missy Bo Kearns, is set to be out of action for a period of four weeks following a “planned operation” on her foot. The club confirmed that the injury is not severe and anticipates her comeback by mid-January. The Women’s Super League season is currently on its winter break. Aston Villa’s upcoming fixture is an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Bristol Rovers at home, scheduled for 12 January. Since her transfer from Liverpool in August, Kearns has featured in nine matches for Villa, starting in seven of those games.
