Emergency services are addressing a significant fire at a paper manufacturing facility in Fife. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) reported that 13 crews along with two specialized vehicles were dispatched to the incident at the Sapphire Paper Mill in Leslie around 05:15 on Tuesday. A representative for Fourstones, the company that owns the facility, confirmed that all personnel were accounted for, though emergency responders continued to be present at the location. The SFRS recommended that residents in the vicinity of the Glenwood Road area keep their windows and doors shut if feasible. The Scottish Ambulance Service verified that no individuals at the site needed medical attention. A spokesperson for Fourstones stated: “All staff are safe and accounted for.” “The fire is now under control and does not appear to have spread to warehousing or production facilities.” “We will work with all relevant authorities as needed.” Post navigation Council to Grant £3 Million in Loans for Shopping Centre Enhancements Doncaster Sheffield Airport Aims for Spring 2026 Reopening Following Operator Selection
