Employees at a waste disposal facility in North East Lincolnshire have endeavored to foster a festive atmosphere by constructing holiday-themed displays from discarded items. According to North East Lincolnshire Council, the personnel at the Grimsby Community Recycling Centre (CRC) were reported to have “gone all out” in their efforts, producing items such as tyre sculptures, a cozy living room setup, a Christmas kitchen table, and various other decorative elements. The council also noted that the volume of waste produced during the Christmas period increases by 30% when contrasted with other times of the year. The recycling facilities operated by the council, located in Grimsby and Immingham, maintain operating hours from 08:00 to 18:00 GMT daily, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
