A bridge in Derbyshire, known for its high traffic volume, is scheduled for overnight closure next week to facilitate necessary work. National Highways announced the necessity of closing the A5132 Carriers Road/The Castle Way bridge, which spans the A38 in Egginton. These closures are essential for surveyors to conduct assessments regarding potential future work aimed at maintaining the safety of the crossing. The road closures are set to commence at 20:00 GMT on Monday and will occur nightly, from 20:00 to 06:00, concluding on Friday. National Highways advised that drivers can utilize a clearly marked diversion route via the A38 during the period of work, but cautioned that additional travel time should be factored into journeys.
