The pedestrian, identified as being in his 50s, passed away at the scene following the collision, which occurred shortly before 05:50 GMT. Police stated that the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was transported to a hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening. The road is anticipated to remain closed throughout Thursday, with traffic diversions put into effect.
