A man has died after being hit by a motorbike on the Isle of Wight. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary reported the incident took place in Newport, on the A3020 Horsebridge Hill, near its junction with Noke Common. The pedestrian, identified as being in his 50s, passed away at the scene following the collision, which occurred shortly before 05:50 GMT. Police stated that the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was transported to a hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening. The road is anticipated to remain closed throughout Thursday, with traffic diversions put into effect. Law enforcement officials have appealed for witnesses and anyone possessing dash cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to come forward.
