Amy Pugh, from Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, has appeared in court following her charge on Thursday with the murder of her husband, 29-year-old Kyle Pugh. The couple was married but separated at the time of his death, which occurred over two years ago in Telford. Mr. Pugh, a father of three, passed away on 23 March 2022, the day after authorities responded to a residence on Aston Drive, Newport, on 22 March 2022. Ms. Pugh, aged 34, attended Birmingham Crown Court on Friday through a video link, where she was not required to enter any pleas. Her next court appearance is scheduled for 10 January at Stafford Crown Court. While being remanded in custody, she was observed wiping away tears and asked Judge Kristina Montgomery KC: “Can I go now?” A provisional trial date has been set for 24 March 2025, with an anticipated duration of two weeks. Mr. Pugh’s death occurred at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, where he was surrounded by his family. Following his death, a statement issued via West Mercia Police described him as “a beloved son, father of three, brother, uncle and a friend to many.” The statement further characterized him as a well-known local MC and a talented designer.
