The Gardaí (Irish police), who are investigating the disappearance and murder of Josephine “Jo Jo” Dullard, have concluded their search efforts in County Wicklow. Ms. Dullard, then 21 years old, vanished from Moone in County Kildare in 1995. The case was reclassified from a missing persons inquiry to a murder investigation in 2020. Gardaí stated they would not provide further comments on the searches due to operational reasons, but confirmed that the Dullard family had been informed about the investigation’s progress. Ms. Dullard’s disappearance has been the subject of a Garda investigation for 29 years. In November, Gardaí initiated searches across Counties Wicklow and Kildare. A 55-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of murder and subsequently released without charge. Gardaí indicated that the recent activities had “been of assistance to the investigation team”. A spokesperson further added, “An Garda Síochána acknowledges the significant response of the public to these recent appeals and events.” They once again urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
