The DJ and podcaster known as Fat Tony, whose real name is Anthony Marnoch, has disclosed that he suffered facial injuries after being struck at a performance in Kent. Marnoch, who performed on Friday at Lido Margate, shared an Instagram post the following day stating he had been hurt “last night at a gig,” accompanied by a video displaying bruising and swelling on his face. Marnoch further indicated that he received treatment at a hospital’s A&E unit but was “absolutely gutted” to have to cancel his Saturday show scheduled for the London venue No90 Hackney Wick. “I’m really sorry that I won’t be seeing you tonight but we will reschedule everything,” he conveyed. He also shared, “Big love guys – I’m just gutted, really gutted.” Marnoch wrote that he was “under doctors’ orders” to “rest and get better,” assuring his followers that he would be “OK” and was “on the mend.” “I really am so sorry,” he added. “I will make it up to you all in the new year. Happy Christmas everyone, take care of yourselves.” He confirmed the event’s rescheduling for January. TV presenter Davina McCall commented, “This is terrible… Love you so much x (kiss) call (you) tomorrow.” On Sunday, Marnoch provided an update on his status, stating he was experiencing “a lot of pain and (his face is) swollen,” and expressed gratitude for the “outpouring of support.” He also mentioned being at home with his dogs and partner, Stavros Agapiou, where he was being “looked after.” The DJ frequently appears on red carpets, having attended events alongside reality TV personality Gemma Collins and singer-actress Claire Sweeney. In a statement, a Kent Police spokesman confirmed that the force “(It) is investigating the report of an assault at the Lido Leisure Centre in Ethelbert Terrace, Margate.” The statement detailed that “It is alleged a man in his 50s was working as a DJ at the premises when he was assaulted by another man between 1.15am and 1.37am on Saturday 14 December 2024.” Emergency services, including patrols and paramedics, responded to the location, where the victim received treatment for facial injuries before proceeding to a hospital for additional medical care.
