The Guernsey government has announced that a time restriction for motorcycle parking will be implemented at a car park in an effort to manage abandoned bikes. The States’ Traffic and Highways department believes that numerous motorcycles have been left in the Odeon car park. However, without a specific time limit on bike parking, the police currently lack the authority to remove them. The department stated that a 23-hour limit for motorbikes would be established in the car park starting in the new year, which would then allow police to identify and remove bikes that exceed this period. Traffic and Highways indicated that this alteration aims to ensure adequate parking spaces remain available for individuals utilizing the car park for commuting to work, school, or town. The department added, “We don’t want anyone who uses these spaces regularly to get caught out by this change, so we’ll be putting up some temporary signs to warn people about this upcoming change for a couple of weeks.” Post navigation Former Welsh Conservative MPs May Seek Senedd Seats, Suggests Westminster Spokesperson SNP MSP Ruth Maguire to Step Down in 2026 Following Cancer Recurrence
