An ambulance call handler, accused of multiple rapes, has denied affixing stickers to his work pass to conceal his role and present himself as a paramedic. Jamie Kadolski, aged 24, from Ladysmith Road, Norwich, faces accusations of 13 sexual offences. These alleged offences are said to have been committed over an 18-month period and involve four women. He stated that he placed the stickers on his pass to hide personal data. Mr. Kadolski denies the charges against him and asserted that all sexual activity was consensual. The trial is continuing at Norwich Crown Court. Mr. Kaolski was employed as a call handler for the East of England Ambulance Service, and his work identification pass was shown to the jury. The prosecution contended that he used stickers to obscure his more junior position, enabling him to claim to women he met that he was a paramedic. Mr. Kadolski informed the court that he used stickers to hide personal information, but the prosecution characterized this as “another blatant lie”. “It is absolutely nonsense you put a sticker on for data sensitivity,” stated prosecution barrister Anne Whyte KC. Mr. Kadolski has been accused of 15 sexual offences; however, the jury has been informed that he has no case to answer on two of these charges. The charges include four allegations of rape against one woman between August and December 2022. The jury had previously heard that when questioned by officers, he stated he would not be able to restrain someone as he had been “sexually abused as a child”. Mr. Kadolski is accused of two counts of assault by penetration and attempted strangulation with intent to commit rape or sexual assault. Other counts include sexual assault and assault by penetration on a second complainant in January 2023. A third woman is reported to have been sexually assaulted in September 2023, while a fourth is alleged to have been raped in January this year. Mr. Kadolski denies all the charges.
