A wildlife park located in Lincolnshire is scheduled to recommence operations this weekend, having previously ceased activity earlier this year due to an ownership disagreement. Wolds Wildlife Park, situated in Horncastle, had announced its closure via Facebook in October, attributing the decision to “the business owners having irreconcilable differences in the future direction of the park”. Co-owner Andrew Riddel commented at that time: “We’ve got serious blips with the council and the authorities at the moment due to our problems in-house, but as soon as those are resolved it will be open as normal.” An update posted on the park’s social media channels indicated that it would resume operations on Saturday, approximately two months following its initial closure. The attraction first opened its doors in 2019 and houses various animals, such as lions, monkeys, zebras, and bears. During its closure in October, Mr. Riddel informed BBC Look North: “We will be open once we get over this blip and we’ll fulfil it and make it bigger and better than it is already.” Following a two-month period of closure, the park is scheduled to welcome visitors on Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00 GMT, with the final admission permitted at 15:00. The on-site cafe will remain closed until 2025; however, guests are permitted to bring their own food and beverages and utilize the tipi for dining. All annual passes purchased prior to the closure will retain their validity.
