Newcastle United has finalized an agreement for Vakhtang Salia, a teenage Georgian forward from Dinamo Tbilisi. He is set to join the Premier League club in August 2025, upon turning 18. Salia has previously represented his nation at the under-21 level. Sporting director Paul Mitchell commented: “Scouting and recruiting emerging talent is an essential part of building a sustainable future, particularly within the current PSR framework, so the market is fiercely competitive.” He further stated: “We continue to scout extensively, both domestically and overseas, with a view to securing players who can come through our talent pathway and, ideally, become part of the first team in future.” Sandi Toksvig will be joined by Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi, and Alan Davies.
