North Yorkshire Council has invited women and girls to provide their perspectives on enhancing healthcare services within the region. A spokesperson indicated that the feedback collected from this survey will assist the council in determining its priority areas for the upcoming years. The questionnaire addresses various subjects, including contraception, mental health, and menopause. Women across all age groups are encouraged to participate in the anonymous survey, which is scheduled to close on 15 December. Louise Wallace, North Yorkshire Council’s director of public health, stated: “We want women to live safe and healthy lives and we want them to feel heard in their health and wellbeing needs.” She further explained that “The survey is designed to gather your thoughts and experiences to understand what is most important to you about health and wellbeing, including factors such as housing, employment, and the environment around us.” Additionally, the survey will seek women’s opinions on breast health, routine check-ups, healthy aging, pregnancy, infertility, and cervical screening.
