A vehicle, believed to be a 4×4, was “deliberately” driven into a flock of sheep, resulting in the deaths of seven animals. North Yorkshire Police reported that the deceased sheep were found around 10:00 GMT on Wednesday within a field situated on the periphery of Staveley, close to Knaresborough. According to the force, the vehicle had been “deliberately driven over the perimeter fence and at the animals” during the night, causing the deaths of seven sheep and leaving the remaining members of the flock “distressed”. Authorities are requesting that anyone possessing information regarding the incident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of a 4×4 vehicle in the vicinity during that period, contact the police.
