Two individuals apprehended in connection with a stabbing incident in Leicester city centre have been released on bail. Law enforcement personnel responded to Millstone Lane on Friday, just prior to 16:30 GMT, following reports that a 19-year-old male had sustained stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital facility, where he is currently receiving medical attention for injuries that Leicestershire Police have indicated are not considered life-threatening. A 19-year-old man, who was taken into custody on suspicion of violent disorder, continues to be held, whereas two additional men, both aged 19, who were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender, have now been granted bail. Detective Constable Olivia England, a member of the force’s complex investigation team (CIT), stated: “While a number of people have been arrested in connection with the incident, I believe there were other people involved.” She added: “Our investigation is continuing and I’d ask anyone who might have information but who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.” Det Con England further remarked: “We know footfall in the area around the time the incident occurred will have been high and I’d like to speak to anyone who was in Millstone Lane, Friar Lane or any of the surrounding streets at the time.”
