Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has stressed the importance of his team learning from their recent defeat against Newcastle. The match saw Murillo score an opening goal in the first half for Forest, which was subsequently overturned in the second half by goals from Alexander Isak, Joelinton, and Harvey Barnes. This result marks only the second loss of the season for Forest, who nevertheless maintain a position within the Premier League’s top five, holding a single-point advantage over the teams down to Aston Villa in ninth place. Nuno, who was awarded October’s Manager of the Month on Friday, stated, “When you lose and win there is always a lesson to be learnt. We must learn an important lesson, we have been punished the way we have been punishing other teams.” He continued, “I cannot say it is a bad performance, we have to give credit to Newcastle, they were a good team who were able to control us and were able to take advantage.” The manager further commented on Newcastle’s effectiveness, saying, “They have quality and they were lethal in the chances they had.” Despite the loss, Nuno expressed pride in his team’s efforts: “Even though we lost the game, everyone at Forest should be proud of the players and how we have been working together. Ok, let’s go again. “I’m just proud from day one of the way we have been working as a team.” Post navigation Norwich City Striker Josh Sargent Sidelined Until New Year Due to Groin Surgery Motherwell’s Stephen Frail Insists Team Focused on Premiership Match Before Semi-Final
