Two women sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking on a path in North Lincolnshire. The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 10:00 GMT on East Lound Road in Owston Ferry. Humberside Police reported that one woman, aged 73, suffered life-threatening injuries, and another woman, 77, sustained serious injuries. Authorities arrested a 76-year-old man on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs and careless driving causing serious injury. He was subsequently released under investigation. Police are appealing for witnesses and any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage related to the incident.
