An 82-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a motorbike. The incident occurred as he was crossing the road on a zebra crossing at the junction of Victoria Road West and Daisy Bank, in Thornton Cleveleys, around 19:30 GMT on Monday. According to Lancashire Police, the pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where he remains. The motorbike rider, a man in his 20s, also sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Police indicated that the rider “will be spoken to at a later date.” Authorities have requested that any witnesses to the collision contact them.
