Five individuals, comprising three children and two adults, avoided harm when their residence in north Belfast was targeted in a series of assaults, culminating in the house being set ablaze. Emergency services, including firefighters and police personnel, were dispatched to the scene on Glenrosa Link just after midnight on Tuesday. According to police, a rubbish container located at the front of the property was ignited, and a vehicle was also deliberately set on fire. A quarter of an hour prior, authorities had received reports that three windows of the same dwelling had been shattered and paint had been thrown onto it. Additionally, three tires of a car had been slashed. The arson attacks on the house and car occurred before officers could respond to the initial incidents, which were reported shortly before 23:55 GMT on Monday. The individual suspected of these acts departed the location. Police stated, “At this time we believe the suspect is a man, of skinny build, wearing a dark coloured coat who made off prior to police arrival.” Law enforcement officials issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone possessing CCTV or dashcam footage pertinent to the investigation to come forward and contact them.
