Police have reported that a 19-year-old man was raped in Brighton’s city centre. Officers stated that the man was approached by two unidentified individuals near Harry Ramsden’s restaurant in Old Steine, approximately at 03:30 GMT on Saturday. He was subsequently led to Steine Lane by these men, who then allegedly raped him. Detective Inspector Sean Booth of Sussex Police characterized the event as “a deeply concerning incident”. Sussex Police have issued images of two men they wish to interview as part of their ongoing appeal for additional information. Detective Inspector Booth further stated: “We are supporting the victim as our enquiries continue.” Steine Lane is an area frequently traversed both during the day and at night, serving as a popular cut-through route connecting East Street to Old Steine. Authorities are aware that several individuals were present in the vicinity around the time of the attack. He urged: “I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around that time, or anyone who recognises the two men in these images, to please come forward.” Booth emphasized: “Your information could be key as we work to identify those responsible.” He concluded by stating: “There is no place for sexual violence in Sussex, and we take any reports of this nature extremely seriously.” Post navigation Life Sentence Issued for Man in NHS Worker’s Rape and Killing Individual Denies Charges Following Wolverhampton Shooting That Injured Three
