Employees at a supermarket in Darlington have been subjected to a robbery for the second occasion within a three-week period. Durham Police reported that an individual threatened staff members with a knife at the Sainsbury’s Local on Corporation Road, subsequently taking money from a till. This incident, which was reported to law enforcement around 22:00 GMT on Sunday, follows a similar event on 13 November, which also involved the use of a knife. A spokesperson for the supermarket commented: “The safety of our colleagues is our highest priority and we have a range of security measures in place to protect them.” The police force is appealing for anyone who witnessed the occurrence or observed a man acting suspiciously in the vicinity at the time to come forward. A spokesperson for the force added: “A man is believed to have threatened staff members with a knife before taking a quantity of cash from the till.” Post navigation Recruitment Initiated for Warwickshire’s Next Chief Constable Man Sentenced for 1989 Rape After Cold Case DNA Review
