Relatives of a woman who passed away following a collision in Stoke-on-Trent have offered their respects, describing her as “a big character with an even bigger heart”. Sharon Taft was a pedestrian when she was struck by a black Kia Ceed on Blurton Road at 11:36 GMT on Monday. The 56-year-old, who resided in Forsbrook, succumbed to her injuries at the location of the incident. Her family expressed in their tribute: “As a family, we’re still coming to terms with the massive hole that’s been created in our world.” They further characterized her as a “devoted mum, nanny, partner, sister and friend to many”. The statement from her family added: “Her absence will be felt deeply and her grandchildren love and miss her so much already.“Her youngest daughter Milli wants people to know that her mum was such a gorgeous woman who lit up any room she walked in. “She made sure that everyone was better off before herself.” Milli stated: “I will miss her forever and ever and love her lots.” Individuals who witnessed the incident or possess CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the vicinity and have not yet communicated with law enforcement are requested to get in touch with Staffordshire Police.
