Police have reported that a man from Devon sustained life-threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle collision. The incident, which occurred on Church Hill, Whitchurch Down, near Tavistock, at approximately 14:30 GMT on Thursday, involved a grey Audi TT and a grey Volkswagen Touran. The driver of the Audi, a man in his 70s, was transported to Derriford Hospital for medical treatment. A male occupant of the Volkswagen suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman in the same vehicle received minor injuries. A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) stated: “We sent three double-crewed land ambulances, and an operations officer to the scene. “We conveyed three patients by land ambulances to Derriford Hospital.” The road was subsequently reopened to traffic at about 02:05 on Friday. Devon and Cornwall Police has issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
