A husband and wife have died following a collision involving two vehicles. Emergency services responded to the incident at approximately 20:50 GMT on Wednesday. The crash occurred on the A47 at Thorney Toll, near Peterborough, and involved a grey Nissan Pulsar and a grey Toyota Prius. Sandra Spinks, 65, who was driving the Nissan, and her passenger, Brian Spinks, 68, were transported to a hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. Three individuals who were in the Toyota were also hospitalized. Among them, a woman sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition. The deceased couple resided in Wilstead, Bedfordshire. The Model Power Boat Association stated that Mr. Spinks had been a member for over 50 years and served as a president of the Welwyn Garden City Society of Model Engineers. In a statement, the MPBA conveyed: “Brian was well known amongst the straight running fraternity and will be much missed. Our condolences to his family and close friends.” Cambridgeshire Police has requested that anyone possessing information, CCTV, or dashcam footage related to the incident contact them.
