Under manager Daniel Farke, Leeds has not scored in 11 out of 34 away league fixtures. Daniel Farke is challenging his team to achieve the appropriate “excitement level” when playing away from their home ground. The team recently secured a draw at Preston North End with a 93rd-minute equaliser, a result that placed them three points adrift of league leaders Sheffield United. While their promotion campaign has been built on a foundation of eight consecutive home victories, they have managed only one win in their last seven away fixtures. Furthermore, they have not scored in three of their most recent five away games. Manager Farke stated, “We need to find a better excitement level for this kind of game.” He elaborated, “Obviously Elland Road is rocking and buzzing from the start, the players are in a more excitement mode. We need to make this happen in away games, when maybe the pitch isn’t perfect and not each and every decision goes our way.” Farke added, “It is important we learn as we’re not good enough to cruise easily through this league.”
