Law enforcement officials have issued an appeal for information following an incident where a man approached a schoolboy and attempted to seize him. The young boy, believed to be 11 years old, was walking on Chelmerton Avenue in Great Baddow, Chelmsford, Essex, around 08:20 GMT on 5 December when an individual described as being in his 40s attempted to grab him by the arms. Investigators are also seeking to locate a woman who reportedly witnessed the event and intervened, causing the man to flee the scene. The suspect is described as being 6ft (1.82m) in height, bald, but possessing a brown beard styled in a ponytail, and having a tattoo on his right cheek. He was observed wearing a grey Nike jumper, a blue zip-up coat featuring a fur hood, and black and red Nike Air Jordan trainers, according to Essex Police.
