The 2025 TRNSMT festival has revealed its initial roster of performers, including rapper 50 Cent and Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro. This three-day festival, marking its eighth edition, is scheduled to occur at Glasgow Green between 11 and 13 July, with an anticipated attendance of 150,000 people throughout the weekend. Additional artists confirmed for the line-up include Snow Patrol, The Script, Fontaines D.C., and Gracie Abrams, notable for her recent support role on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour. Tickets will become available for purchase on Friday through the official festival website. Geoff Ellis, the festival director for Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT, stated that further performers would be revealed for the festival’s four stages in the coming year. Ellis commented: “After a record-breaking sell-out in 2024, we can’t wait to have everyone back for the eighth year of incredible live music.“We’ve worked hard to pull together an eclectic line-up including homegrown headliners and global icons, spanning a range of genres we know music fans of all ages will love.” The artists confirmed to date are as follows: Friday: Saturday: Sunday: The previous year’s festival featured Calvin Harris, Liam Gallagher, and Gerry Cinnamon as headliners. Veteran acts such as Garbage, Travis, Natasha Bedingfield, and the Sugababes also performed. The festival is additionally recognized for showcasing numerous Scottish artists across its four stages, with last year’s performers including indie rock band The Snuts and solo artists Cammy Barnes and Ili. Approximately 50,000 attendees were present daily at the event, which commenced in 2017. Historically, the organizers have faced criticism regarding a lack of diversity, specifically concerning the absence of female headliners. Throughout the event’s existence, only one woman, Pulp keyboardist Candida Doyle in 2023, has participated in headlining the festival. Copyright 2024 BBC. All rights reserved.
