Kent has named Adam Hollioake as its new men’s head coach. Hollioake’s most recent position was assistant coach at Surrey for the 2024 season. The former Surrey captain has agreed to a contract extending until the conclusion of the 2027 season. He previously served as assistant coach at Surrey, the club where he played for most of his career. The 53-year-old stated, “I’m honoured to be appointed as the head coach of Kent. It’s an amazing chance for me to work with a great squad of players and to be involved with a county with such a rich history of success. County cricket is something that I hold extremely close to my heart, and this is an opportunity that I could not turn down.” Hollioake, an all-rounder who represented England in four Tests and captained the national one-day team, concluded his playing career in 2007. His coaching experience includes stints with the Hong Kong national team and England Lions, and he served as batting coach for Pakistan during their 2023 tour of Australia. Kent is scheduled to commence their County Championship campaign on 4 April with an away match against Northamptonshire.
