Residents within the Crawley area have been invited to submit their perspectives on proposed controlled parking zones. West Sussex County Council intends to implement restrictions in specific parts of Pound Hill and Three Bridges with the aim to “help better parking, ease congestion and improve accessibility.” The council indicated that current parking arrangements have generated “concerns about congestion and accessibility,” noting that commuter parking frequently results in “reducing available spaces for residents.” This consultation, which is open until 1 December, offers a “chance for residents to help shape a solution that supports local needs,” according to council officials. A spokesperson stated: “Controlled parking zones are a key tool in managing parking demand and reducing congestion, helping to create safer and more accessible neighbourhoods.” Information outlining the proposals has been delivered via letter to all residents in and around the streets where these zones are planned. The detailed plans are available for review online and at Crawley Library.
