The recently appointed ferry operator for Jersey has indicated that its travel timetable for the island is still under finalization. Jersey selected the Danish company DFDS in early December to provide its essential passenger and freight transport services. In contrast, Guernsey had previously chosen Brittany Ferries in October to manage its maritime connections. DFDS stated that it is currently engaged in discussions with port authorities located in Poole, Portsmouth, and Saint-Malo, and anticipates publishing its definitive timetable early in 2025. The company acknowledged public eagerness to view the new schedule “as soon as possible,” but emphasized its ongoing collaboration with all involved parties to finalize departure and arrival times across all its routes. Chris Parker, who serves as the route director for Jersey at DFDS, highlighted the significance of establishing accurate schedules. He stated: “We appreciate that everyone is keen to learn about the schedules, and we are working to get this done as quickly as possible. “Our focus is to get the schedules right and we want to make sure that we consider all the diverse needs of the island for both passenger and freight transport, as well as the operational dependencies of the ports we serve.” Post navigation East Lancashire Railway Secures Funding for Urgent Viaduct Repairs Saltash Tunnel on A38 Scheduled for £25m Electrical System Overhaul
