Llywelyn Williams secured a gold medal for the third consecutive year at the ISA Para Surfing World Championships, which took place in California. Williams, who hails from Abersoch, has now emerged victorious in the men’s kneeling/upright category for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024. At Huntington Beach, Dariel Melendez Davila of Costa Rica claimed the second position, finishing ahead of Altair Olivares from Chile, who placed third. Another Welsh competitor, Isaac Heaher, a compatriot of Williams, finished in 12th place. Since Williams commenced his participation in these championships, he has advanced to the finals on eight separate occasions. His leg was amputated when he was 16 years old, an event that occurred after he was hit by a car while skateboarding.
