Approval has been granted for the construction of more than 200 homes in Hull. The planning committee of Hull City Council gave its consent to a project comprising 64 two-bedroom houses, 122 three-bedroom houses, and 28 four-bedroom houses, situated within the city’s Kingswood district. This project is slated for construction on a parcel of land located between Richmond Way and the River Hull, and will feature access via two newly constructed junctions. Chris Murphy, land director for developer Beal Homes, stated: “We have worked very closely with the local authority and statutory bodies to develop and refine these plans, which will bring much-needed new homes to the area and offer wider benefits to the local community.” Information from the Local Democracy Reporting Service indicates that the housebuilder has also secured preliminary approval for an additional 236 residences, potentially increasing the overall number of new homes constructed to 450, as part of a project estimated to be valued at £120 million. The council is scheduled to deliberate on the additional 236 homes prior to rendering a conclusive decision.
