Charges have been brought against a woman in connection with a collision that resulted in the death of a nine-year-old boy who was a passenger in her vehicle. Zac Roe, a resident of Andover, Hampshire, was declared deceased at the site of the incident on the A354 near East Woodyates, Dorset, on March 25. Barbara Roe, aged 38, from Ludgershall in Wiltshire, faces an accusation of causing death through dangerous driving. Her court appearance before Poole magistrates is scheduled for January 31. Law enforcement authorities responded at 17:21 GMT to a multi-vehicle crash involving a Ford Transit van, a DAF cattle transporter truck and its trailer, and the Citreon DS9 occupied by the two individuals. Subsequent to his passing, Zac’s family released statements honoring his memory. His father, Josh Roe, expressed: “You are my little angel. I love you more than anything in this world. You are my best buddy.” Zac’s grandfather, Chris Roe, stated: “Zac, there are just no words to find.” He continued: “I just want to thank you for the wonderful and fun-filled memories we shared on your short journey of your life.” BBC Dorset can be followed on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.
