Murder charges have been filed against two men following the death of one individual and the discovery of two other injured people at a house in York. According to North Yorkshire Police, Indrit Mustafaj, 26, from Bradford, passed away in hospital on November 23 after suffering serious injuries in the Haxby Road area. Officers indicated that the attack was believed to have been “targeted.” A force spokesperson stated that a man in his 20s and another man in his 30s, both York residents, who were arrested during the weekend, were due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. The spokesperson added that both men had also been charged with two counts each of wounding causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Concurrently, a man and a woman who were taken into custody on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation as inquiries proceed. Police reported that a second man, who was injured in the incident and hospitalized, remains in a stable condition. Det Supt Fran Naughton, from North Yorkshire Police, commented: “We’ve spent a lot of time talking to residents as part of our investigation and they are understandably concerned about what’s happened. We really appreciate their support and co-operation.” She also mentioned that police would remain in the area “to support the community and guard the scene.”
