A nine-year-old schoolgirl has described her appearance in the film Paddington in Peru as “really cool.” Tallulah, a resident of Bournemouth, portrays a young Judy Brown. Her scenes were filmed at Elstree Studios in London during October of the previous year. The movie, which features Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, and Olivia Colman, premiered on 3 November. Lucy Wright-Booth, Tallulah’s mother, stated: “We all went to the cinema, the day Paddington came out to watch it, it was very exciting and we are all very proud of her.” Tallulah’s role is that of a young Judy Brown, who is the daughter of the family that adopts Paddington Bear. Tallulah commented, “I was there for a few hours filming a flashback scene.” She further explained, “I did the same take, over and over again, until I got it right – so there were a few takes but it was really fun.” She mentioned arriving at the cinema 20 minutes early to view the film because her part was in the opening scene. “It was really cool to see myself up there,” she remarked. Ms Wright-Booth shared: “Tallulah is with an agency, they send through a brief of what they were looking for and they believed she fitted the brief.” She continued, “Unfortunately I was unable to see if Elstree was full of glitz and glamour as I could only drop Tallulah off but we hope this is the start of a glittering career.” She added, “She’s done a couple of things now but Paddington has been the most exciting.” For updates, BBC Dorset can be followed on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.
