Two men are facing charges following the discovery of a “large cannabis grow” inside a former butcher’s shop located on a main shopping street in the town centre. Suffolk Police carried out a warrant at the vacant premises on Carr Street in Ipswich on Friday. The two individuals, both in their 20s, were apprehended and subsequently charged with the production of a controlled class B drug. Both men made an appearance at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. They were remanded in custody and instructed to return for a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on 20 January.
