Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has voiced his opinion that Arsenal continues to lack a “natural goalscorer” and has questioned whether Gabriel Jesus has met expectations since joining the Emirates club. Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club, Sutton stated: “Over the last couple of years, there has been this debate about whether Arsenal need a natural goalscorer – it does feel like something is missing.” Sutton specifically referenced Gabriel Jesus, who played on the right-wing against Shakhtar Donetsk in a 4-4-2 formation, recalling initial discussions that he would elevate Arsenal to the next level upon his arrival. He further elaborated on Jesus’s contributions, noting: “He does so many good things in a game but two things he still hasn’t come to grips with is finishing and being clinical – I think that is the issue.” Comparing Arsenal to top competitors, Sutton remarked: “When you look at the likes of Manchester City, you have to be near perfect to beat them and I think Arsenal probably need a little bit more than they have got at this moment in time.” Post navigation Derry Manager Higgins Emphasizes FAI Cup Victory as Crucial Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium: England’s Premier League Entertainment Hub
