Authorities have apprehended two individuals following the detection of an extensive cannabis cultivation enterprise situated at a rural property. Law enforcement officers conducted a raid on the premises on Tuesday morning. This action was prompted by National Grid’s notification regarding unusual electricity consumption patterns observed at the location, situated off Bestmans Lane within the Worcestershire village of Kempsey. Upon gaining entry to a structure by force, officers discovered five separate areas housing 1,500 fully grown cannabis plants, alongside quantities of vacuum-sealed processed crops. West Mercia Police confirmed that two men, aged 24 and 33 respectively, were taken into custody on suspicion of involvement in the production of cannabis. Dave Wise, who serves as the safer neighbourhood inspector for Malvern, stated that the discovered plants are slated for destruction. He further commented, “Large scale cannabis grows are often tied to organised crime groups, whose activities fuel further criminality, including modern slavery.” Wise added, “Tackling these operations is vital to protecting our communities and keeping them safe from harm.” Post navigation Man suffers serious injuries in Torquay petrol station collision Police seek witnesses following fatal crash
