Financial grants are being made available to low-income individuals residing in a Surrey district. Commencing at 10:00 GMT on Monday, residents will be eligible to apply for a grant through the Tandridge Household Support Fund. Tandridge District Council has announced it has allocated an additional £54,000 from its own resources to the government fund. This contribution aims to assist as many households as possible in receiving support. Applications must be submitted by 23:59 GMT on 15 December. The council indicates that successful applicants will receive their payments after the Christmas holidays. To apply, residents are required to upload three bank statements covering the period from September to November 2024. The council also states that individuals applying by phone will need to bring their documents to the council offices in Oxted. The council specified that grants of £125 are available for households without children, and £225 for those with children. These grants are accessible even if applicants have previously received funding from the scheme. Catherine Sayer, leader of the council, stated: “This fund is here to provide crucial support for those most in need, even if they have applied before.” Post navigation Man stages car park protest with living room setup Rotherham Council Introduces Winter Financial Aid for Residents
