Sting is set to perform at Live at Lincoln Castle next summer. The artist, a 17-time Grammy Award winner, will appear at the historic venue on June 24 as part of his ongoing world tour. Organizers have indicated that the concert will feature “the most electrifying hits and rarities from Sting’s timeless discography.” Tickets for the event will become available for general sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday. Sting, who was the lead singer for The Police during the 1970s and 80s, joins a list of headliners for Live at Lincoln Castle 2025 that includes Rag’n’ Bone Man, The Stranglers, Olly Murs, Texas, Simple Minds, and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell. He will be accompanied on stage by his long-time collaborator, guitarist Dominic Miller, and drummer Chris Maas. These concerts are part of a continuing partnership between Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor, which aims to bring world-class artists to the heritage site. Councillor Lindsey Cawrey, the local authority’s executive member for culture, commented on the announcement, stating: “Sting is one of our greatest living singer-songwriters and having his concert here puts Lincoln Castle firmly on the global live music map. We absolutely cannot wait to welcome [him] and I’m sure there are thousands of fans across the region and beyond who will be desperate to get tickets to this unique show.” Post navigation Daily Briefing: December 9, 2024 Noteworthy Information
